    Applicants will be sent times, dates and locations for the Tutee Assessment by email to the contact address above.

    Terms & Conditions for the award of a Free Tuition Bursary

    Application:

    ● A limited number of fully funded bursaries are available. There is no application fee. Applicants are
    required to complete the Fairview Education Tutee Application Form which can be found at:
    www.fairvieweducation.org

    ● Applicants are required to pass a Tutee Assessment by Fairview Education before any offer of a
    Free Tuition Bursary can be made.

    ● Applicants are required to attend a 1 hour free Tutee Assessment. Successful applicants will be
    notified in writing within 30 days of the Tutee Assessment.

    ● Free Tuition Bursaries will be awarded at the discretion of the directors of Fairview Education.

    ● Priority will be given to successful applicants who provide proof of registration for Free School Meals.

    ● Free Tuition Bursaries have no monetary value and cannot be refunded.

    Provision:

    ● The Free Tuition Bursary provides 30 x 1 hourly sessions of specialist 11+ tuition over 13 months, a
    range of course materials and 2 practice examinations (feedback will be provided). Tutoring sessions will take place during school term dates. A timetable will be provided. Weekly homework and holiday projects will be set. Regular progress updates will be provided to parents / carers.

    ● All Fairview Education tutors hold enhanced DBS safeguarding certificates. The Fairview Education safeguarding policy is available to view online at: www.fairvieweducation.org

    ● Tutees will be tutored at a central location in Cheltenham / Gloucester outside of normal school hours. This will normally be between 4-5pm or 5-6pm. Tutees will need to provide their own transport to and from the tutoring location. Tutees who arrive late for their tutor session will not get extra time.

    ● Tutees who miss their allocated tutorial for any reason will not be provided with a replacement session.

    ● Tuition will cease for Tutees who miss more than 30% of timetabled tutorial sessions and the Free Tuition Bursary will be terminated. Notice will be given in writing.

    ● If a tutorial session is missed due to illness or unavailability by the tutor, a replacement tutorial will be offered at a later date.

    ● Tutees will abide by the Fairview Education Tutee Code of Conduct. Tuition will cease for Tutees who break the terms of the Code of Conduct and the Free Tuition Bursary will be terminated. Notice will be given in writing.

    ● Success in the Gloucestershire Grammar Schools 11+ entrance examinations cannot be guaranteed by Fairview Education and it should be noted that a significant amount of extra work outside of the tutoring sessions will be needed in order to reach the required standard.

    ● Assistance can be given with the Gloucestershire Grammar School application process where needed. Parents / carers should inform Fairview Education before March 2024 if they require help.

    ● In the event of a national or local ‘lockdown’, Fairview Education will make every effort to provide timetabled tuition sessions available online but this cannot be guaranteed.
